Dear Ms. Crist:

On behalf of Elsevier, I am pleased to present this proposal to enter into a publishing arrangement with the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) to publish a new gold open access journal, Journal of the Obesity Medicine Association (JOMA). We wholly support the Association’s vision, values, and mission to advance the prevention, treatment, and reversal of the disease of obesity. Journal of the Obesity Medicine Association (JOMA) will be the official journal publication of the OMA and, as a “Gold” Open Access journal, will be immediately and permanently free for everyone to read and download. This model is supported by an Article Processing Charge (APC), the fee payable by the author, or their institution, or funder to cover the publication costs.
