This Member Code of Conduct was adopted by the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) Board of Trustees on February 28, 2022. Preamble The Obesity Medicine Association (“OMA” or the “Association”) is a not-for-profit, tax-exempt professional society formed to educate health care providers to use a comprehensive, scientific, and individualized evidence based-treatment to help patients lose weight and achieve better overall health. The business and affairs of the association are managed under the direction of the OMA Board of Trustees (the “Board”). The Member and Committee Participant Code of Conduct (the “Code”) serves as a code of conduct for all members of the Association. Violations of the Code may be reviewed in accordance with the OMA Ethics Committee Charter. Members and Committee Participants affirm their endorsement of the Code and acknowledge their commitment to uphold its principles and obligations by accepting and retaining membership within the OMA in addition to OMA’s Committees.
