 Part of NIH National Library of Medicine  Medline database is a subset of PubMed  DOI provides links to articles  PMID is a unique identifier used in the PubMed database and can be used to look up Abstracts and full free online articles  No cost to OMA o PubMed indexing much more challenging with the massive influx of “predatory journals” o Completion of robust Volumes 7 & 8, now working on Volume 9 o Over 20 Clinical Practice Statements o Roundtables, reviews, short reports, position statements, and original science o 100,000’s of article downloads o Virtual Special Issues  Pediatric & Obesity Virtual Special Issue  Cardiovascular Disease & Obesity Virtual Special Issue o Review time 22 days o Clean website o Monthly OMA member updates • Challenges  Reflects number of times Obesity Pillars articles are cited  Challenge: Difficult to be noticed without PubMed indexing  Influences the types of articles we accept o SCOPUS: abstract and indexing database with full-text links that is produced by the Elsevier Co. – Possibly 2024 o Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) – Possibly 2024 • Collaborations o Obesity Canada : Five publications in 2023 regarding standards of care and competencies o “Obesity Pillars Obesity and Asian Populations Virtual Special Issue” o “Joint Clinical Perspectives” (similar to CPS, except in Q & A format) o National Lipid Association o Elsevier personnel turnover o Impact Factor--Possibly 2026
