2) Performance and outcome metrics What is the status of clinically meaningful performance and outcome metrics for obesity treatment and weight management? Are metrics available to support reporting on adherence and persistence to obesity treatment and weight management? Are validated and reportable metrics available to support incorporation of obesity treatment and weight management into value-based payment? 3) Payment models What do key stakeholders see as the most promising payment strategies for demonstrating payment models that focus on or otherwise incentivize obesity treatment and weight management delivered at greater scale? Should the focus be on inclusion of specific measures of obesity care services into provider payment, (i.e., a MACRA-style strategy)? Should episode-based or bundled-care strategies be developed? Should ACO-style payment models be developed that incentivize obesity treatment and weight management across an entire attributed patient population? How should different approaches be designed to complement each other, (bundled payment with ACO-type models, for instance)?
