WHAT INVESTMENT ISSUES MIGHT BE BROUGHT UP AT OMA BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETINGS? (THIS INFORMATION IS TO BE DISCUSSED ONLY IF ASKED)
• The Reserve and Investment Funds objective is to optimize yields on OMA’s short - term assets while maintaining adequate liquidity, without taking excessive principal risk (i.e., safety, liquidity, and yield). • OM A’s funds are allocated into three tiers: o Tier 1: Reserve Fund: Access to sufficient cash for 12-month operating expenses o Tier 2: Fixed Income Assets: Designed to maximize return, generate modest income with liquidity as a secondary objective. o Tier 3: Investment Funds: Funds more than 12-month operating expenses will be invested with in stocks, bonds and alternatives for long term moderate growth.
