2023 Marketing Department Updates/Statistics Department Director: E.J. Rickey
• The marketing department in alignment with OMA’s Strategic Plan, has identified three projects to complete over 2023. Each of these projects aims to enhance member experience within OMA and continue to elevate the OMA brand profile. • In conjunction with Trendy Minds®, https://trendyminds.com/ an innovative marketing agency with roots in pharmaceuticals and obesity medicine, the marketing team has launched a website refresh project. The foundation of this project will leverage data points to drive a better overall user experience with the OMA website, while positioning the organization to continue to grow and evolve. • In alignment with the launch of our new AMS, Fonteva, the marketing department is launching a stack of marketing automation products and technologies. These tech products will leverage member and partner data in Fonteva to enhance marketing communications, creating a more personalized approach to the types of communications individuals receive, while providing the ability to better track return-on-investment with various advertising campaigns. • We have also fully launched Cision, a PR measurement and earned media platform. This will bring PR efforts in house and allow the OMA Marketing team to foster relationships with media contacts at news outlets throughout the world. Additionally, this provides data points around what topics in obesity medicine are generating news coverage and give the team the ability to tailor content to these topics. • The marketing team is fully built out from a staffing perspective and has completed the vast majority of creative signage and assets for the 2023 Spring Conference in NYC. We are continuing to run campaigns targeted at increasing membership and conference attendance and are excited at the over 700 paid registrants for NYC. •
