2023 Membership Updates/Statistics Department Director: Christian DeSousa

• The membership department continues to set record membership numbers each month and we currently have had almost an 8% growth through the first three months. Further, we have had our first ever 200+ new member month (204) in January and then shattered that record with 317 new members in the month of March. • Retention has been holding steady in the 73% range which is up from 63% at the start of 2021, but this is still an area that we are striving to improve on. • The department has implemented a current AMA member physician rate which is 20% off of the standard rates and have seen some decent numbers of people taking advantage as part of their renewals with minimal promotion thus far. We will be working on cross-promotion moving forward to help maintain the percentage of our physician members that also need to be AMA members (20%) as one of the House of Delegate (HOD) requirements. • We have implemented a 50% off CIT Upgrade offer for those CITs who no longer qualify for this benefit and that want to upgrade to one of our clinician membership types for the first year. Just a handful have taken advantage of this offer, so we can consider increasing the discount while we continue discussions on future Early Career membership offerings. • We are working with the Membership Committee to develop a “New Member Happy Hour” concept via Zoom that will happen either monthly or quarterly and will be added to our current new member onboarding program.
