This will be initiated at the OMA’s Spring 2023 Conference from collateral gained from the AMA such as the importance of AMA membership to ensure fair & equitable reimbursement, a voice in advocacy, etc. Further, the OMA will continue to use the AMA logos and collateral in its newsletters, website, etc. As the problem statement outlines, it is likely the OMA will lose its AMA Delegate Seat due to the growth of the NP/PA segment of the membership

This is a low “lift” from an effort perspective with the OMA staff and has minimal (negative) fiscal considerations as well. In addition, the OMA has invested in a low-cost video recording platform by which Drs. Auriemma, Lazarus, and Francavilla-Brown (or others) could assist the OMA staff in communicating the key messaging around the criticality of AMA membership and the AMA Delegate seat that OMA currently holds.
