compensated for their time (with the exception of Dr. Nick Pennings, who is part of the OMA Education Staff).
Participation/eligibility (for self-nomination) criteria is as below: • Members must be OMA members in good standing for the past 3 years • Members must have attended at least one annual conference in person • Members must be able to attend the OMA conference(s) in person • Members must be available to attend planning meetings, committee calls, and provide support throughout the entire process from March—February of each year • Members must be ABOM-Certified or carry the NP/PA Certificate of Advanced Education in OM The specific responsibilities of this group include: • Working with the CAG to ensure alignment in educational programming content on the “front end” (only) • Review all Calls for Proposals (CFP) submitted to the OMA for upcoming conferences • Updating the Self-Assessment Program (SAP), infographics, office forms, or other educational products as assigned by the OMA Education Staff OMA Education Content Working Group Term: One year on a calendar year rotation; the group will convene on January 1 st of each year, and they would rotate off on December 31 st of the same year. OMA CME Overview Committee: This group exists currently under the OMA’s committee structure, and as such, this group will maintain its current chair, nomination processes with the OMA’s committee structures each fall, etc. • Review submitted presentations for the OMA’s Conferences (both Fall and Spring) to ensure person-first language, conflicts of interest, accuracy with citations, evidence-based materials, etc. Further, this group will not preemptively review any materials under the current CFP process. This group will manage the “back end” CME oversight work. • Review submitted presentations for the OMA’s webinars on an ongoing basis • This group’s primary objective is to review content to ensure person-first language, evidence-based science utilization, etc. after the presentations have been submitted by various faculty. This ensures ACCME compliance by aligning this group’s activities with the “back end” of the review process versus the front and back end of the review process as it currently exists today.
